annelies crone

Annelies Crone is currently in her third year of a Masters of Architecture at the University of Melbourne. Alongside her studies, Crone is currently working full time as an Architectural Assistant in a Melbourne-based Architecture firm. She previously graduated from a Bachelor of Environments majoring in Architecture, at The University of Melbourne with First Class Honors.

Crone was born and raised in Sydney by a family of architects, engineers and interior designers that influenced her thought process and how to perceive the world around her. Growing up, she has always aimed to work in the field of architecture and create meaning places for people gather and connect in.

Annelies Crone was drawn to this degree by her fascination in the way we can manipulate a skyline around us. While studying architecture abroad at Cambridge University in a summer program, she was taught the importance of emotion in design. The most inspiring aspect of architecture in her opinion is how different buildings or lack of buildings can bring about a range of emotions and feelings for the occupants. Crone also has a strong passion for art and creating works that speak through imagery and textural surfaces.
